Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) was established on October 2, 1972, by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh, becoming the first Technological University in India. For over 44 years, it has been a pioneer in delivering high-quality technological education in Andhra Pradesh. In 2008, the university was restructured into four independent universities through Government Ordinance No.13 (dated August 18, 2008) and State Legislature Act No.30 (September 2008). Following this reorganization, it was designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).

Expanding Influence through Affiliation
A milestone in 1995 redefined JNTUH’s role as it gained affiliating status from the state government, significantly expanding its reach.
