What is MAT?
MAT, which stands for Management Aptitude Test (MAT), is a renowned national-level entrance examination for admission to various management programs in India. Administered by the All India Management Association (AIMA), MAT provides a platform for candidates to gain entry into numerous prestigious business schools across the country.
About MAT
Objective: MAT evaluates the aptitude and skills of candidates seeking admission to various postgraduate management programs, including MBA and PGDM, offered by a wide range of B-schools in India.
Versatility: MAT is conducted multiple times a year in different modes - Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Paper-Based Test (PBT) - to accommodate the diverse preferences of candidates.
Candidate can take MAT as
(i) Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) or
(ii) Double Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) or
(iii) Paper Based Test (PBT) or
(iv) Paper Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (PBT+IBT) or
(v) Computer Based Test (CBT) or
(vi) Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (CBT+IBT) or
(vii) Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT)
Note:
Candidates can opt for an additional mode of test (e.g. IBT+IBT, PBT+CBT, IBT+PBT, IBT+CBT) by paying an extra fee of ₹1150/- in addition to ₹1950/-.
Candidates opting for additional test will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.
Widespread Acceptance: MAT scores are widely accepted by more than 600 B-schools and management institutions in India.
