Established in 1991 by the visionary leader Mr. Shantanurao Laxmanrao Kirloskar, Kirloskar Institute of Management (KIM) embodies a commitment to turning vision into reality. Founded with the purpose of putting Mr. S. L. Kirloskar's profound thoughts into practice, KIM has been a pioneer in the Indian industry.

Mr. S. L. Kirloskar, a stalwart in the Indian industrial landscape, envisioned and achieved the success of the Kirloskar Group of Companies in the engineering industry. KIM was born out of the realization that promoting managerial and organizational excellence is crucial for the growth of companies.

In 1998, KIM expanded its horizons by venturing into high-quality management education, offering a two-year fully residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Harihar. Witnessing the success of its alumni in the industry, KIM furthered its impact by inaugurating a second campus in Pune in 2010. Both campuses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
