About & History: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, situated in Hisar, stands as a testament to Haryana's commitment to advancing education in cutting-edge fields. Established on October 20, 1995, through legislative enactment, the university is dedicated to fostering studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. Notably, its focus areas encompass technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources, and management studies.

The university draws its name from Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a revered 15th-century saint and environmentalist, symbolizing its dedication to promoting a harmonious balance between human development and environmental sustainability.

Strategically located in Hisar, a town experiencing rapid growth, the university stands 167 km from Delhi and 231 km from Chandigarh. Spanning an expansive 372 acres, the campus features a blend of modern architecture seamlessly integrated with the natural surroundings, creating an enriching environment conducive to learning and research.

The developed area spanning 275 acres within the campus is equipped with essential amenities such as water supply, street lighting, and electricity. Recognitions: The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized GJU under Section 2(f) for degrees on January 11, 1996, and under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act for central assistance on February 7, 1997.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded GJU an 'A' Grade in 2002, reaffirming it with a CGPA of 3.26 in 2009. Subsequently, GJU received its third 'A' Grade accreditation with a CGPA of 3.28, extended until December 9, 2021. Presently, the university holds an A+ Grade NAAC accreditation with a CGPA of 3.38 in the fourth cycle.

Research Facilities: GJU boasts the Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Central Instrumentation Laboratory, renowned for providing state-of-the-art research facilities not only to its researchers but also to other institutions in the region.

Haryana School of Business: The Haryana School of Business (HSB) has a rich history dating back to 1994 when it was established as part of the regional center to promote studies and research in emerging areas of business education. Initially featuring the Faculty of Management, it evolved into offering super-specialized programs like MBA (Finance), MBA (Marketing), and MBA (International Business), along with the popular MBA with dual specialization. Recognizing the need for quality higher education for practicing professionals, an MBA (evening) program was introduced in 1997-98.
