Foundation and Inauguration:

H.R.H. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, laid the foundation stone of IIT Delhi at Hauz Khas on January 28, 1959.

According to the latest media reports, a total of 1,050 job offers were extended during Phase I of the placements, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Among these, 1,000 unique students successfully secured positions, highlighting the high demand for IIT Delhi graduates.

One of the standout features of this year's placements is the global interest, with 50+ international offers coming from around 20 multinational companies. These companies span diverse sectors and geographies, further emphasizing the institute's global appeal.

Top recruiters during Phase I included industry giants such as Microsoft, Air India, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Goldman Sachs, and Ola Electric. Notably, the Core (Technical) sector dominated this year's placements, accounting for 42% of the total hires.

For comparison, the Phase I placements of 2023 saw 1,300 job offers, with 1,150 unique offers.
